福岡に「実践老年病研究会」という高齢者医療に明日から役に立つエッセンスを討論する研究会があります。平成14年に始まり、今年4月に第19回目を迎えましたが、担当のMRさんに講演記録を見せていただいたところでは、取り上げられたテーマはやはり前回（その5）列記したものがその中心でした。会では複数の講師が講演の後、質問に対しそれぞれの経験から答えていくというやり方が多かったそうです。未成熟な分野であるだけに偏りのない知見を複数の講師が提供するという方式をとっておられるようです。福岡では実に多くの研究会が開催されますが、この会は自発的に参加される医師や看護師が多く、その数は毎回150人に達する勢いだそうです。いかにこの分野のスキルを学びとる機会に医療人が飢えていたかを物語っていると思います。
最近、在宅医療を評価する考え方から、高齢者の在宅医療を支える医師の教育の必要性に注目が集まりつつあります。後期高齢者医療制度の後期高齢者診療料の算定に当たっては高齢者医療の研修受講が義務付けられています。日本慢性期医療協会は医師・看護師向けの今年で3回目の慢性期医療認定講座をこの夏開催いたします。プログラムはリハビリ部門を除いてやはり同様のテーマでした。定員は200名だそうですが、毎回申込が多くすぐに定員に達するそうです。
医師になるには国家試験をパスしなければならず、医学生は懸命に勉強します。その量は他の国家資格と比べても格段に多く、難度も相当に高いものです。しかしながら、医学部の教育の中に高齢者医療、老年病を対象とした講座は極めて稀で、大学付属病院に療養病床がない現状では、輩出される医師は急性期医療対象者のみです。医師になるのに100勉強が必要であるのなら、この高齢者医療に自信を持って取り組むにはあと10勉強をすれば足りると思うのです。いきなり療養病棟での勤務を始めても戸惑わないレベルまであと一割のレベルアップで事足りるわけです。ゆっくりと、働きながらでも学べるシステムがあればこれが可能になります。

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

I experimented with taking a look at your web site on my cellphone and the design doesnt seem to be right. Might want to check it out on WAP as well as it seems most cell phone layouts are not working with your web page.

Hands down, Apple’s app store wins by a mile. It’s a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
