先生は私が参加しているあるクローズドの研究会で昨年の秋に講演されました。実は私は急用ができて、講演会には参加できなかったのですが、後日そのレジメを拝見して、「是非お会いして教えていただきたい」とメールを出したところ、快くお迎え頂きました。
先生は整形外科医として某医科大学講師であり医局長であった時、ひょんなことから車椅子の障害者ら15名と北米旅行の添乗医師として出かけることになりました。彼らとの旅は先生の医師としての医療観を大きく変えることになりました。彼らは医師など信頼していなかったのです。「医者は、自分に都合のよい患者しかみない」という言葉に先生は衝撃を受けました。その経験から、動けない患者を病院に呼びつけるのではなく、元気な医者が病気の患者のところに動く医療、往診医療をやろうと決意したと、ある講演会で語っておられます。
18年前、北関東で当時の日本では非常に珍しい往診に力を入れる診療所として、内科医をパートナーとして開業されました。大変なご苦労があったようですが、虚弱高齢者の在宅ケア、癌の終末期ケア、重度認知症患者のケアなど訪問看護師や歯科医師、薬剤師そして何より家族を巻き込んで、生活の場をときに医療の場として人間の尊厳を守り、その人らしい生き方を支えておられます。レジメの在宅ホスピスケアの写真を拝見しますと、死期が迫っていても、とても幸せそうなまばゆいばかりの笑顔がそこにあり、患者さんからは勿論、家族からも絶大な信頼が得られていることがわかります。
心温まる在宅医療の現場を視察し、その先生と議論する場を設けようと思います。第1回目として、3/27（土）～28（日）を予定しています。航空運賃・新幹線、宿泊、等ご負担はありませんが、生活の場に大人数が押しかけるわけにはいきません。訪問診療1件に1人が限度ですので、ツアーの募集は、在宅医療を始めてみたいと興味をお持ちの勤務医の先生に限らせていただき、初回ですので3名の定員とさせていただきます。

Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I’m not sure I’d want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
